Tim Mixon remains a veteran Cal defensive back with special-teams juice
In the 2024 season, Tim Mixon was described by Cal as a valuable defensive back and return specialist, ranking second in program history with a 12.7-yard career punt-return average and sixth all-time with 22 pass breakups. He brings versatility, experienced cover skills, and reliable special-teams impact—classic “do-a-little-everything” value. At 5-foot-9, 186 pounds, he’s not a size bully, but his production and consistency make him the kind of steady, high-effort fit teams love in the secondary and on returns.
