Cale Daigle brings versatile, high-motor linebacker upside to Nicholls
Daigle profiles as a sideline-to-sideline linebacker with edge-rushing flexibility, which gives Nicholls a player who can help in space and still create backfield disruption. In high school at St. Paul’s, he earned first-team all-state recognition, Metro Defensive MVP honors, and posted 98 tackles, 12 sacks, and 24 tackles for loss in his senior season, while also maintaining a 3.3 GPA, a useful indicator of discipline and coachability. He looks like a fit for a defense that values effort, range, and hybrid linebacker traits rather than just raw size.
