McCulley brings size, catch-radius, and real outside-WR utility to Michigan
In the 2025 season, Donaven McCulley gave Michigan a legitimate big-bodied perimeter target, finishing with 39 catches for 588 yards and 3 touchdowns while averaging 15.1 yards per catch.[13][14] At 6-foot-5 and roughly 215 pounds, his game is built on length, physicality, and quarterback-to-receiver conversion skills that make him tough on contested balls and useful on vertical routes.[1][13] The lingering question is ceiling versus consistency: he looks like a mismatch problem for defenses, but scouts have viewed him more as a developmental NFL piece than a polished instant star.[11][15]
