Tamon Lynum brought length, experience, and a ball-hawking edge to Pitt’s secondary
In the 2025 season, Tamon Lynum was a veteran Pitt DB who finished his Panthers run with 57 tackles, 8 pass breakups, and 2 interceptions across 23 games, giving the secondary size and steadiness on the back end. At 6-foot-2, he stood out for his length, coverage range, and seasoned feel after a six-year college climb from Nebraska to Pittsburgh. He also had enough versatility and production to earn an NFL look, signing with the Steelers after camp before being waived in August 2026.
