proven Nebraska DB with ball skills and tackling production
Byerson Cockrell is a Nebraska defensive back whose value shows up in the details: in 2015, he posted 99 total tackles and led the secondary with 13 passes defended, while adding an interception and multiple tackles-for-loss. Nebraska’s roster notes also show a player with a real game-to-game presence, including a 10-tackle outing against Wisconsin and three career games with at least one TFL, suggesting toughness and active run support. He looks like a fit for teams that want a physical, assignment-solid DB who can close space, finish tackles, and make quarterbacks pay for testing him.
