Melvin Lewis brings NFL-caliber size, but durability is the question
Lewis has been valued as a disruptive interior defender for Kentucky, with the kind of anchor strength and veteran presence that can make a defensive line tougher to move; however, his availability has been a real concern, including a fractured fibula that cost him most of a season and earlier injury-related absences. That makes him a fit for teams that want a physical, experienced DT and are comfortable managing risk. If he’s healthy, he can help control the middle; if not, the upside gets limited fast.
