Carson Goulet brings a fresh leg and roster upside to Central State
Carson Goulet is a freshman place kicker/punter for Central State in the 2026 season, and the big takeaway is that he’s still an evaluation piece rather than a stat-sheet star: the official roster currently lists no season or career statistics for him, while ESPN identifies him as the Marauders’ place kicker. That means the appeal is upside—specialists like Goulet can swing hidden field-position value quickly if the leg is clean, the operation is steady, and he wins the trust battle on kicks under pressure. For a team needing a young specialist with room to develop, he’s worth watching.
