Darrell Hackney was a record-setting, big-armed UAB quarterback with proven production
Hackney stands out as one of UAB’s most productive passers ever: he finished his Blazers career with 9,886 passing yards and 71 touchdown passes, and as a freshman he posted a school-record 1,977 passing yards while earning Conference USA Offensive Freshman of the Year honors. His profile suggests a durable, high-volume QB with steady command and enough playmaking to carry an offense, which makes him appealing if you want a proven distributor who has already shown he can produce in meaningful college game action.
