Martavius French brings veteran toughness and playmaking punch to Colorado’s linebackers
In the 2025 season, Martavius French gave Colorado an immediate veteran presence at inside linebacker, starting the first five games and finishing with 33 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, two fumble recoveries, and a sack. He’s a good fit for a team that wants reliability, physicality, and a tone-setter in the middle: he already showed disruptive juice at UTSA in 2024 with 80 tackles and 17 tackles for loss, and his recovery of two early fumbles for CU flashed real instincts. The concern is availability off the field, but when he’s right, he looks like a fast, downhill, do-your-job linebacker.
