veteran Jackrabbit D-lineman with production, leadership, and grit
In the 2015 season, J.R. Plote was a senior defensive lineman at South Dakota State who brought experience, steady production, and captain-level leadership to the Jackrabbits’ front. He entered that year after earning academic honors and being voted a team captain, and his college resume shows a reliable run-stopper who also flashed pass-rush punch, including 10 sacks in high school and disruptive plays in MVFC action. If a team wants a mature, tough, fundamentally sound DL who knows how to anchor a defense and set the tone, Plote fits the bill.
