young Campbell CB with compact frame, fast-track role, and room to pop
Javian Drake entered Campbell as a 5-foot-10, 165-pound corner from Rockingham, N.C., and has already earned snaps as a redshirt sophomore, which tells you the staff trusts his competitiveness and learning curve. In Campbell’s 2025 cumulative stats, he showed up in the box score with 7 tackles and 2 tackles for loss, a useful early indicator for a DB who can support run defense and trigger downhill. His calling card is likely his versatility and growth upside rather than a flashy stat line; he looks like a scrappy, work-in-progress coverage piece who could fit a defense that values toughness, effort, and development.
