John Brown Jr. brings veteran edge and disruption to Jackson State’s front
In the 2025 season, John Brown Jr. looked like a steady, experienced defensive front piece for Jackson State, listed at 6-foot-1 and 251 pounds and credited with 25 total tackles, 1 sack, and 1 forced fumble on ESPN’s season stats. His value goes beyond the box score: he profiles as a physical, assignment-sound defender who can hold up on the edge and chip in as a pass-rush irritant, which matters in a conference where line play gets nasty fast. If your team wants a mature, dependable DL with toughness and versatility, he’s absolutely worth a closer look.
