Recap

Southern Miss dominated Jackson State 38-20, sparked by Zach Ruffin's early punt return touchdown that set the tone. Quarterback Braylon Braxton was nearly unstoppable, tossing three touchdown passes to three different receivers (Brown, Davis, and Morris) as the Golden Eagles built a commanding 31-10 lead early in the fourth quarter. Despite a late touchdown run from Ahmad Miller, the Tigers couldn't overcome Southern Miss's balanced attack, which added a Robert Briggs rushing score to put the game out of reach.
