Local Hawaii veteran with grinder appeal and family-football pedigree
Kila Kamakawiwo'ole is a Hawai'i veteran who brings blue-collar toughness, special-teams value, and deep island football roots; in the 2023 season, he played in 12 games for the Rainbow Warriors and primarily contributed on special teams, which fits a player valued more for reliability and physicality than box-score splash. He stands out as a coachable, versatile depth piece with a strong football background and a no-drama profile that can help stabilize a roster. If you want a hard-nosed, experienced culture fit who knows the program, he’s your kind of guy.
