Recap

Wake Forest dominated in-state rival North Carolina 28-12, powered by Carlos Hernandez's electrifying performance that included a 51-yard touchdown run and a 70-yard scoring reception. The Demon Deacons established control early with Hernandez's opening-quarter touchdown and never relinquished the lead, while the Tar Heels could only manage four field goals from Rece Verhoff. Quarterback Robby Ashford sealed the victory with a 2-yard touchdown run in the final minute, capping a convincing home win at Allegacy Federal Credit Union Stadium.
