Recap

West Virginia outlasted Houston 45-35 in a high-scoring Big 12 showdown at TDECU Stadium, powered by quarterback Scotty Fox Jr.'s two rushing touchdowns and a passing score. The Mountaineers seized control early with a 14-0 first-quarter lead and never relinquished it, despite Houston fighting back to tie the game at 21 before halftime. Jordan Scruggs' 80-yard interception return touchdown in the third quarter proved decisive, overshadowing Cougar quarterback Conner Weigman's impressive four-touchdown performance.
