Recap

North Carolina dominated Richmond 41-6 at Kenan Stadium, with quarterback Gio Lopez orchestrating a potent Tar Heel attack through the air and on the ground. Lopez connected with Jordan Shipp for two touchdown passes and added a rushing score of his own as North Carolina built a commanding 27-3 lead through three quarters. The Tar Heels sealed the blowout victory with a 62-yard fumble return touchdown by Mikai Gbayor and Demon June's explosive 45-yard touchdown run in the final quarter.
