Recap
UTEP dominated Sam Houston 35-17 behind quarterback Skyler Locklear's explosive performance, accounting for four touchdowns including two rushing scores and two passing strikes. The Miners pulled away in the fourth quarter with two late touchdowns, including Ashten Emory's 34-yard dash to seal the victory. Despite a promising start from the Bearkats who struck first with a Hunter Watson touchdown pass, UTEP's offense proved too much to handle at Shell Energy Stadium.
