Recap

Kansas State dominated the Sunflower Showdown with a convincing 42-17 victory over Kansas at David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium. After the Jayhawks struck first with Jalon Daniels' touchdown run, the Wildcats responded with 21 unanswered first-quarter points, including a momentum-shifting fumble return touchdown by Ralph Ortiz. Quarterback Avery Johnson was electric for Kansas State, accounting for four total touchdowns - two passing and two rushing - including a backbreaking 78-yard strike to Jayce Brown that effectively put the game out of reach.
