Recap

Virginia Tech rallied from a 10-point halftime deficit to defeat California 42-34 in double overtime at Lane Stadium. Hokies quarterback Kyron Drones delivered a masterclass performance with three touchdown passes and two crucial rushing scores, including a 17-yard run to force a second overtime. After the Golden Bears struck first in overtime with Mason Mini's 25-yard touchdown catch, Virginia Tech sealed the comeback victory when Drones connected with Takye Heath for a 7-yard score and added the two-point conversion himself.
