Recap

North Carolina dominated a cross-town showdown with Charlotte, cruising to a 20-3 victory at Jerry Richardson Stadium. The Tar Heels wasted no time, striking on a 51-yard touchdown pass from Gio Lopez to Chris Culliver in the opening minute before adding a 49-yard field goal from Rece Verhoff. Despite Charlotte getting on the board with a second-quarter field goal, North Carolina sealed the win with Davion Gause's 12-yard touchdown run just before halftime and a final Verhoff field goal to cap the scoring.
