Recap

Southern Miss dominated Appalachian State 38-22, fueled by a game-changing 99-yard interception return touchdown by Ian Foster that helped build a commanding lead. Quarterback Braylon Braxton threw two touchdown passes while Jeffery Pittman found the end zone twice on the ground for the Golden Eagles. Despite late efforts from the Mountaineers, including a touchdown with under a minute remaining, Southern Miss maintained control throughout after an early first-quarter tie.
