Recap
Oklahoma secured a hard-fought 24-17 victory over Auburn, fueled by quarterback John Mateer's dual-threat performance with both passing and rushing touchdowns. The Sooners' special teams were crucial as Tate Sandell connected on three field goals throughout the contest. After Auburn briefly took a 17-16 lead on Malcolm Simmons' fourth-quarter touchdown run, the Sooners responded with Mateer's 9-yard scoring dash and sealed the win with a late safety.
