Akron dominated Massachusetts 44-10 behind quarterback Ben Finley's explosive performance, which included two touchdown passes and a rushing score. The Zips stormed to an early 14-0 lead and never looked back, adding a defensive touchdown when Gage Summers returned a fumble 25 yards in the third quarter. Jordan Gant contributed two rushing touchdowns as Akron pulled away, outscoring the Minutemen 30-0 after UMass closed to within 14-10 late in the first quarter.
