Marshall dominated Georgia State 30-18 behind Carlos Del Rio-Wilson's three touchdown passes, including two in the second quarter that gave the Thundering Herd a commanding lead. Despite Jordon Simmons' electrifying 92-yard touchdown run in the opening quarter and a late rally to cut the deficit to 21-18, Georgia State couldn't overcome Marshall's offensive firepower. The Thundering Herd sealed the victory with 10 unanswered fourth-quarter points, including a 29-yard touchdown strike to Adrian Norton.
