Recap

In a defensive slugfest at Huskie Stadium, the Aztecs squeezed out a dramatic 6-3 victory over Northern Illinois on Gabriel Plascencia's game-winning 25-yard field goal as time expired. The Huskies struck first with Andrew Glass's 31-yard field goal in the opening quarter, but San Diego State answered with Plascencia's first field goal early in the second period. Both defenses dominated the remainder of the contest until Plascencia's clutch kick delivered the Aztecs their hard-fought win.
