Syracuse staged a dramatic comeback to defeat Connecticut 27-20 in overtime at the JMA Wireless Dome. The Orange trailed 17-6 entering the fourth quarter before quarterback Steve Angeli connected with Justus Ross-Simmons for a 53-yard touchdown, sparking the rally. After taking their first lead with 48 seconds remaining on Yasin Willis' 3-yard touchdown run, Syracuse survived a last-second field goal by UConn's Chris Freeman that forced overtime, then clinched victory on Angeli's 6-yard touchdown pass to Ross-Simmons.
