Recap

Akron stunned Bowling Green 19-16 on the road at Doyt L. Perry Stadium in a field goal-heavy MAC battle. The Zips' Israel Polk delivered the game's pivotal moment with a spectacular 75-yard touchdown reception from Ben Finley, giving Akron a lead they never relinquished. Matthew Schramm proved to be the difference maker, connecting on four field goals including a crucial 30-yarder in the fourth quarter that helped secure the victory despite a late Falcon push.
