Recap

Eastern Michigan dominated the second half to pull away from Sacramento State, securing a 28-17 victory at Rynearson Stadium. The Eagles turned a competitive battle into a statement win, outscoring the Hornets down the stretch to claim their home triumph in front of the Ypsilanti faithful. The 188-play contest showcased Eastern Michigan's ability to control the game when it mattered most. Sacramento State hung tough early, but the Eagles' relentless execution proved too much as they defended their home turf and sent the Hornets back west with a loss. A solid Mid-American performance by Eastern Michigan sets the tone for what they're building this season.
