Recap

Central Michigan put on a dominant display at Kelly/Shorts Stadium, rolling past Akron 41-17 in this Mid-American Conference showdown. The Chippewas controlled the action throughout the evening in Mount Pleasant, building a comfortable lead and never looking back against the Zips. This was a statement win for Central Michigan, who executed on both sides of the ball to pull away convincingly. Akron struggled to find answers as the home side piled up points and kept the pressure on. The Chippewas improve their standing in the MAC with this thorough 24-point victory.
