Recap

Rhode Island dominated in a fourth-quarter explosion, pulling away from Elon 31-10 in Coastal Athletic Association action at Centreville Bank Stadium. After a defensive battle left the game tied 3-3 entering the final period, the Rams erupted with 28 unanswered points, including Terrence Campbell's 1-yard touchdown to cap an impressive 18-play, 98-yard drive and Mitchell Garner's 30-yard pick-six just 33 seconds after Tyler Budge connected with Marquis Buchanan for a 7-yard score. The Phoenix's late touchdown from TJ Crews IV to Zimere Winston couldn't stop Rhode Island's momentum, as Budge added another scoring strike to seal the victory.
