Recap

Minnesota stunned Michigan 20-14 at Huntington Bank Stadium in a defensive slugfest that saw the Golden Gophers flip the script on the Wolverines. In a battle of Big Ten heavyweights, Minnesota's defense stood tall when it mattered most, holding Michigan's offense in check throughout a hard-fought 159-play marathon. The Gophers controlled the trenches and capitalized on key opportunities to pull off the upset victory at home. Michigan fought hard but couldn't find enough rhythm offensively to overcome Minnesota's stingy defense. This statement win gives the Golden Gophers major momentum and proves they're a force to be reckoned with in the conference.
