Recap

The SMU Mustangs defended Gerald J. Ford Stadium with authority, taking down the Boston College Eagles 25-16 in an Atlantic Coast Conference showdown. SMU controlled the pace throughout the contest, building enough cushion to withstand any late-game heroics from the visiting Eagles. The Mustangs' defense stood tall when it mattered most, keeping Boston College out of the end zone when they needed it. This was a statement win for SMU as they continue to make noise in ACC play. The Eagles battled hard but couldn't find enough offensive rhythm to overcome the deficit in Dallas. With 181 plays of back-and-forth action, both teams left everything on the field, but the Mustangs proved they're a force to be reckoned with at home.
