Coastal Carolina vs West Virginia

West Virginia gutted out a hard-fought 31-24 home victory over Coastal Carolina at Mountaineer Field, surviving a spirited challenge from the Sun Belt visitors. The Mountaineers protected their turf in Morgantown, but the Chanticleers made them earn every point in a back-and-forth battle that went down to the wire. With 204 plays of intense action, this one had everything you want in college football. West Virginia's seven-point margin doesn't tell the whole story of how competitive this matchup was. The Big 12 squad ultimately held serve at home, but Coastal Carolina proved they belonged on the field, pushing the Mountaineers until the final whistle and making this a game fans won't soon forget.
