Recap

UCLA's defense smothered Texas in a defensive battle that came down to clutch execution. The Bruins led 20-17 at halftime and extended their advantage to 13 points with a devastating 9-2 third-quarter run that pushed the lead to 38-28. But the Longhorns fought back fiercely, rattling off a 12-2 run in the fourth quarter to pull within three at 47-44—setting up a thrilling finish. With the game hanging in the balance, Kiki Rice took over down the stretch. Jordan Lee's jump shot kept Texas alive at 47-44 with 1:04 remaining, but Rice answered with two clutch free throws, then sealed it with another from the line with just three seconds left. UCLA's suffocating defense held Texas to just 44 points, and the Bruins punched their ticket to the Championship with a 51-44 Final Four victory at the neutral site in Fort Worth.
