Jayson Tarpeh brings size, experience, and run-game value to ECU’s offensive line
Tarpeh is a 6-foot-7, 320-pound senior tackle whose value shows up in the trenches: in 2024, he played in 12 of 13 games for East Carolina, logged 101 snaps, and helped the Pirates average 436.4 yards and 32.0 points per game while paving lanes for Rahjai Harris’ five 100-yard performances.[1] Before ECU, he earned NJCAA all-American recognition at Lackawanna as part of a line that powered 2,276 rushing yards, which points to a clear strength in physical run blocking and scheme-to-scheme adaptability.[9] His one notable red flag is a full-game suspension tied to the 2024 Military Bowl ejection, but on the field he looks like a big, experienced fit for a team that wants downhill run production and stability at tackle.[10][13]
