steady midfield engine, not a box-score merchant
Ryan Woods is a reliable, possession-minded midfielder whose value shows up in control, ball circulation, and availability more than in goals or flash; in the 2025-26 season, he logged 36 league starts for Oldham Athletic with 5 assists, and Opta notes he ranked tied for the team lead in league assists while making 43 appearances overall and 3,702 minutes. He fits best for a team that wants a composed, experienced connector who can keep the game moving, though his profile suggests more organizer than finisher.
