In the 2025-26 season, Joshua Jefferson was the Cyclones’ Swiss Army knife: 16.4 points, 7.4 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 1.6 steals per game, with a polished 34.5% three-point touch and a team-leading all-around impact that helped Iowa State reach the Sweet 16. He matters because he bends games on both ends—size, feel, passing and disruptive defense—not just scoring. The only real nitpick is that he can get turnover-prone when asked to create a lot, but if your team wants a smart, physical, high-IQ forward who plays with edge, he’s a fit.
