Aidan Tweedy enters the 2026 season as a veteran Northern Illinois lineman who earned the team’s 2025 captain nod for the Eastern Michigan game and played in all 12 games, starting the final 10 at both center and guard. He helped NIU rank third in the MAC in rushing (187.1 yards per game) and third fewest in sacks allowed (1.58 per game) in 2025, while also showing some real football-program “grown-up” traits: he was a repeat NFF Hampshire Honor Society honoree and tied for second on the team with 27 bench reps at Pro Day.
