Recap

Iowa dominated Nebraska 40-16 in this year's Heroes Trophy game, with quarterback Mark Gronowski accounting for three touchdowns - two rushing and one passing. After a competitive first half that saw four lead changes, the Hawkeyes pulled away with 23 unanswered points including a key safety early in the third quarter. Nebraska's offense stalled after halftime, settling for four Kyle Cunanan field goals while Iowa's Kamari Moulton added two rushing touchdowns in the convincing road victory.
