Akron held off a late Central Michigan charge to secure a 28-22 victory at InfoCision Stadium. Quarterback Ben Finley led the Zips with three touchdown passes, including strikes to Kyan Mason and Jordan Gant that helped build a commanding 28-10 lead. The Chippewas battled back behind Angel Flores' two rushing touchdowns and Cade Graham's three field goals, but couldn't complete the comeback despite cutting the deficit to six points in the final minutes.
