Charles Davis brings classic Purdue tight-end size and leverage
Charles Davis was a productive Purdue tight end in the 2004 and 2005 seasons, peaking with 34 catches for 416 yards and 3 touchdowns in 2004 before adding 26 catches for 311 yards in 2005; at 6-foot-5/6-foot-6 and about 254-260 pounds, he offered a big target, red-zone value, and enough blocking toughness to fit a pro-style offense. He was known as a physical, versatile TE who could win in the middle of the field and survive the trench work, which is why Purdue and NFL evaluators both valued his power profile.
